Mars Terraform Station

After X-Tine's reading and talking about the book Red Mars, I was inspired to create a personal version of a Mars terraform station for Infinity. The monorail was a nice add as miniatures are transported very fast over the complex.

    Very cool, I like the chipped pain effect it seems to work really well and the rust streaks look perfect.

      Merci Phil,

      En fait, c'est assez simple. J'utilise une bombe de couleur blanche que je vaporise par le haut sur une soucouche grise.

    Very, very nice. Where did the models come from? Did you scratch-build them? And if so, how would you feel about a tutorial? =P. I would even settle for an article on how you get that chipped-and-rusted effect.

      Most of the buildings are scratch build. Most of them are conversions from the existing CT-S sci-fi buildings, even one of them is a heavily converted old Necromunda building. You can check at http://ct-scenery.com/ in the Sci-Fi catalogue.

      You can also check "About it" on the site for the assembly of the habitat building. It explains how it is painted in that particular style.

      It's fun you thought they were lasercut. I did make them some years ago from plaster and plasticard. They're sold as a product on http://ct-scenery.com/ in the Sci-Fi catalogue.
